The 10 th International Contest of Small Format Artwork entitled “Emotions” 2023 and the retrospective exhibition of artworks from the previous 9 years

The 10th International Contest of Small Format Artwork entitled “Emotions” includes 94 artworks by 64 authors from 10 countries in the following disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking and photography.
Together with this year’s artworks there will be a retrospective exhibition which includes the awarded artworks and the Honourable mentions from the previous 9 years.

The international judging committee has awarded three prizes and four equal Honourable mentions to the best artworks that have arrived at this year’s contest.

First prize: Tatjana Marticki, printmaking, Serbia

Third prize: Milan Stepanović, painting, Serbia
Honourable mention: Yusa Hori, printmaking, Japan

UNU Novi Sad is announcing

THE 10th INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF SMALL FORMAT ARTWORK

The theme: ‘Emotions’ in the disciplines of drawing, painting, printmaking and photography.

All four disciplines are equally graded, certificates are awarded to prominent artists and the best three artworks are rewarded: 1st prize – 10 000 RSD, 2nd prize – a monograph, 3rd prize – a set of “Signit” acrylic paints,

The contest also includes mixed media, monotypes, collages… it DOES NOT include digital prints, architectural and design work.

Each participant can participate with two artworks at most.

The maximum artwork size is A4.

Participation fee is 1000 RSD (regardless of the number of sent artwork) the payment is made into the Association’s account: 160-388507-10 with the indication: donation, recipient: UNU Novi Sad, Bulevar Oslobođenja 26/10, Novi Sad.

Foreign participants (outside of Serbia) are not required to pay the participation fee.

All participants will receive a digital catalogue via e-mail. The catalogue will also be printed in its entirety in the 8th issue of the magazine for culture and art “UPS – umetnost pre svega” (Art above all else). The submitted works will not be returned, but will instead become a part of the UNUNS’s Legacy. UNUNS’s Legacy makes an indivisible whole and represents a cross-section of art in the 21st century. The fee, as well as the artworks, will be returned to the participants who do not pass the selection.

All participants who come to the the exhibition opening in November 2023 will receive the 8th issue of magazine UPS as a gift. The exact date of the exhibition opening will be announced at a later date.

The deadline for submitting the artworks is August 15th, 2023.

The 7th International Contest of Small Format Artwork and Mail Art Project entitled “At the Beginning of 21st Century” include 190 artworks by 125 authors from 28 countries.

At the 7th International Small Format Exhibition, 34 authors will present 55 artworks in the following disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking and photography. The exhibition has been juried and an international judging committee has awarded three prizes and three equal Honourable mentions to the best artworks that have arrived at this year’s contest

First prize: Srdjan Simović, printmaking, BIH
Second prize: Loredana Bradaschia, painting, Croatia
Third prize: Luka Matić, painting, BIH
Honourable mention: Gocan Adela Laura, painting, Romania
Honourable mention: Srđan Vujošević, photography, China
Honourable mention: Derya Avci, drawing, Turkey

The Mail Art project will present 135 artworks by 91 authors in different styles and techniques. We will have the opportunity to see how Mail Artists around the world interpret the theme: “At the beginning of 21st century”, communicating in small formats, with each other and with the audience.

THE 7th INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF SMALL FORMAT ARTWORK

The theme: ‘At the beginning of 21st century’ in the disciplines of: drawing, painting, printmaking and photography.

All four disciplines are equally graded, certificates are awarded to prominent artists and the best three artworks are rewarded.

The contest also includes a combination of techniques, monotypes, collages… it DOES NOT include digital prints, architectural and design work.

Each participant is entitled to participate with two artworks at most.
Maximum artwork size is A4.

Photos of the artworks and filled in application must be sent no later than June 30th, 2019 to the following e-mail: unu.novisad@gmail.com

Authors who pass the selection pay the registration fee and send the artworks to: UNU Novi Sad, Bulevar Oslobođenja 26/10, 21000 Novi Sad.

The results of the selection will be published no later than August 31th.

The deadline for fee payment and artwork delivery is July 30th, 2019.

The jury will award three awards for best artworks and present certificates to prominent authors.

The results of the jury will be published no later than September 1st, 2019.

The submitted works will not be returned, but will instead become a part of the UNUNS’s Legacy. UNUNS’s Legacy makes an indivisible whole and represents a cross-section of art in the 21st century.

The organizers are obliged to regularly inform the participants of all the exhibitions related to this contest through website, e-mail or Facebook page. The making of a digital and printed catalogue is planned.

THE 6TH INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF SMALL FORMAT ARTWORK

For the 6th international contest of small format artwork which has been announced by the Association of Independent Artists of Novi Sad in March 2018, applied 61 artists with 91 artworks in the following disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking and photography.

The judging committee which consisted of: Svetlana Suzdaljceva, academic painter (Pokrov – Russia), Ljiljana Maksimović, art historian (Belgrade– Serbia), Adnan Hozo, academic printmaker (Sarajevo – BH) and Vladimir Červenka, academic photographer (Sr. Karlovci – Serbia), has awarded three prizes and three equal Honourable mentions to the best artworks that have arrived at this year’s contest.

· First prize: Ivana Flegar, printmaking, Belgrade, Serbia

· Second prize: Milica Stevanović, painting, Novi Sad, Serbia

· Third prize: Vanja Stipić, printmaking, Banja Luka, BH

THE 5th INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF SMALL FORMAT ARTWORK

At the 5th international contest of small format artwork which has been announced by the Association of Independent Artists of Novi Sad in March 2017, 48 artists applied with 73 artworks in the following disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking and photograph.

The judging committee which consisted of: Svetlana Suzdaljceva, academic painter (Pokrov – Russia), LjiljanaMaksimović, art historian (Belgrade– Srbija), Adnan Hozo, academic printmaker (Sarajevo – BH) and Vladimir Červenka, academic photographer (Sr. Karlovci – Serbia), has awarded three prizes and threeequal Honourable mentions to the best artworks that have arrived at this year’s contest.

This year, in addition to the judging committee’s awards, there will be an Audience Award. On the facebook page of UNUNS there is an album with the artworks that have passed jury selection, but did not get an award or an Honourable mention. We invite the audience to vote for the best artwork. The artwork which receives the highest number of likes by 12PM on September 10th 2017 will win the Audience Award. Good luck!
